Optym held the grand opening of our brand new Armenian office last week in Yerevan. The opening attracted some notable figures from the city of Yerevan, including Dr. Gagik Tadevosyan, Deputy Minister of Transport, Communication, and IT of Armenia and Yogeshwar Sangwan, the Indian Ambassador to Armenia.
All of the Optym Armenia team attended the event, including Optym President & CEO Dr. Ravi Ahuja, who gave an inspiring speech commemorating the occasion. Guests enjoyed dinner, drinks and networking before the green ribbon was cut and Optym Armenia was officially open!
The new space, comprised of 3 floors and equipped for up to 100 employees, will focus largely on software development. A larger presence in Armenia means Optym can continue to bring our innovative software solutions to market. The current Armenia team is comprised of over 60 employees. The team is so large that they needed a bigger space that would better manage and promote team communication. The location of Yerevan also presents collaboration opportunities with different Armenian universities, leading to even more developments within the fields of operation research and decision automation.
Sam Ahuja, Creative Director at Optym, said: “This new space represents our future in Armenia, by creating a fun and productive environment for our team, we will be able to create more value for our company as well as the entire region as we continue to grow our world-wide presence.”
The past year has seen Optym sign some exciting partnerships with some of the world’s largest names in the transport industry, including Amadeus. The new space in Armenia is sure to bring even more opportunities to Optym’s growing future.
We hope all of the Armenian team enjoy their new office surroundings, and we are very excited to be bringing more wealth and opportunity to the city of Yerevan. Optym is always looking for our next challenge, and we feel confident that the team in Armenia will help us achieve them.
