Gainesville, FL – Optym announced today that SAIA, Inc. has signed an agreement to license Optym’s HaulPLAN software to help optimize the company’s linehaul plans. Ranked among the Journal of Commerce’s top ten LTL carriers in the United States in 2014, SAIA serves all 50 states as well as Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico.
HaulPLAN creates an optimized linehaul plan based on historical shipment volumes and customer service commitments. It can also be used for various tactical planning and strategic planning studies regarding network optimization, service rationalization, terminal capacity planning and the acquisition of new business.
Ranked among the top 10 LTL carriers in the United States, SAIA processes over 26,000 daily shipments and generated $1.3 billion in revenues in 2014. Through the use of HaulPLAN, the carrier hopes to further increase both of those figures while providing even better service to its clients.
