Software company Optym is moving its U.S. headquarters from Florida to the Cypress Waters development northwest of Dallas.

The international company, whose local clients include Southwest Airlines and Greyhound, has leased 17,327 square feet of space in a building under construction at 3401 Olympus Blvd.

The company is moving from Gainesville, Fla., to Billingsley Co.’s Cypress Waters in August.

“Optym is looking forward to becoming part of the Cypress Waters community,” Vic Keller, Optym’s chief executive officer, said in a statement. “We are confident it will make a great home for our growing company and support our innovation and growth strategy.

“Dallas has a very favorable business environment, diverse economy and flourishing technology sector, and we are excited to relocate our global headquarters to the thriving Dallas-Fort Worth area.”

Cypress Waters is already home to companies including 7-Eleven, CoreLogic, Nokia, Brinker International, Nationstar Mortgage, Toyota Industries Commercial Finance, BT America and Constellation Brands.

“It is always a big deal when a company decides to relocate to our region,” Billingsley Co. partner Lucy Burns said in a statement. “We are just thrilled that Optym chose to make Cypress Waters their new home.

“We have focused a great deal on creating a vibrant, amenity-rich community situated on the water. Each group that joins our community strengthens what we have started here.”

The Optym lease comes after Billingsley Co. recently signed deals with four other companies at Cypress Waters. Goosehead Insurance, Artisan Design Group, Northstar Builders Group and Robert Half are also taking new offices in the project.

The 1,000-acre development at LBJ Freeway and Belt Line Road is home to thousands of office workers and includes apartments and retail space.

Christopher Fleeger of Morrow Hill negotiated the Optym lease with Marijke Lantz of Billingsley Co.
