Dallas, TX — November 15, 2022 — Optym, a leader in optimization solutions, announced that Southeastern Freight Lines (SEFL) will incorporate two products from their less-than-truckload (LTL) optimization offering. SEFL will apply linehaul network optimization tool HaulPlan and driver schedule optimization tool DriverPlan. SEFL joins fellow carriers Saia, Yellow, and Estes Express in the implementation of Optym’s products for operational efficiency.
“As Southeastern focuses on continuously creating value for our customers and delivering quality without question, we have identified Optym products as a way to enable us to reach new levels of efficiency and quality,” SEFL VP of Linehaul Transportation Melissa Atkins said. “Their data-driven approach to operations aligns with how we conduct business, and we are happy to partner with them on our path of continuous improvement.”
“It’s exciting to partner with industry-leading carriers, like Southeastern Freight Lines, to implement our products and take their linehaul network to the next level,” Optym Director of Product Kory Harb said. “Optym’s proven optimization solutions and industry knowledge allow us to create user-friendly products that solve real problems that carriers face, and we are thrilled that Southeastern Freight Lines has recognized the massive opportunity our products can unlock.”
HaulPlan creates better network plans faster with automated linehaul planning software designed to maximize efficiency and profitability of linehaul operations. Carriers using HaulPlan reduce linehaul costs, improve service quality, decrease plan creation time, and consider more options.
DriverPlan is an industry-first LTL driver schedule optimization solution, which is revolutionizing driver routing. As the newest addition to the Optym LTL product line, DriverPlan multiplies HaulPlan’s value by calculating the best way to move trailers with the drivers you have, giving drivers more consistent and desirable work while bringing them home more often. The two integrate to provide users a seamless load planning and scheduling experience.
“DriverPlan is our latest piece of the puzzle in building a connected ecosystem of optimization products for the LTL industry,” Harb said. “The Optym LTL product line aims to reduce waste for every aspect of LTL operations.”
